Ruby's Mid Summer Eve Charity Masked Ball

was held on

Saturday, 20th June 2009

Total raised - £24.219.00

A huge thank you to all who came along and supported Ruby's Charity Mid-Summer Masked Ball on Saturday evening!!!

We would really welcome your feedback, please go to our website and let us know what you thought of the evening. Following the success of the 2008 and 2009, we felt we should only make it a bi-annual event, but we have had lots of people asking if we are doing it again next year. Your feedback will help us decide how much interest is out there for 2010 or 2011 and would be very much appreciated.

The pictures taken on the night are on 'Capital Events' website: www.events-photography.com go to 'your events' page and click on Rubys Summer Ball to view. If anyone would like to purchase these or others taken on the night, please contact Capital Events direct. Capital Events donated 35% of their profit to Rubys Summer Ball.

We also had a friend take pictures on the night, and I should have these very shortly, I will then upload them onto our Ruby Summer Ball website for you all to look at.

Dr Bhattachyra is sending us the 'before & after' pictures that he had brought with him which show very clearly what a huge difference the advanced hi-tech software he was able to purchase with the money you all raised at last years ball!! More information will shortly be displayed on the website about this and also what he is planning to do with this years donation.

We will let you know the final totals hopefully by the end of the week which we shall put onto the website

One other thing you may be interested to know is that Nicki Tullett has offered to produce a limited number of prints of ‘A Rose for Ruby’ and if anyone is interested in purchasing one of her prints, please contact me direct.

Thank you again for all your generous support.

Hannah & Philip Matthews.

Dear Hannah, Anne and Phil,

I just wanted to thank you once again for your fantastic fundraising skills and for hosting such an amazing ball. Ailsa and I very much enjoyed meeting you all and had a great time.

Since we were there, we have just had another vein of Galen baby transferred up to us from University College Hospital in London. He will be the second baby (4 days old now) to benefit from your work.

Thank you,

Jo and Ailsa
